Frequently asked questions

Arrival and Departure times

-Our opening hours are 9am until 6pm daily from 1st March until 31st October, seasonally.

- Arrival from 12pm, Departure by 11am.

- Please check in at reception on arrival.

- Late arrivals (after 6pm), please pick a pitch and come see us at reception the next morning to check in (before 11am). 

Pitches

- All our pitches are Hard- Standing with Electric Hook-up included in price.

- We do not allocate pitches; it is a first come first served basis and you pick your own pitch upon arrival from spaces available.

- WE DO NOT HAVE GRASS OR NONE – ELECTRIC PITCHES or fully serviced / hybrid pitches.

- We charge for an extra car when bringing two vehicles with 1 caravan, please don't pay for an extra car when bringing one vehicle with a motorhome

- We do not allow Tents of any kind, this includes pup tents, ROOF TENTS, gazebos.

-When booking online, please be aware that only campervans that are of proper specification with side windows will be allowed, a campervan is not a van with a roof tent. We do not accept tents of any kind.

- Awnings of any size must be securely fastened down at all times and are your responsibility. 

- Motorhomes exceeding 7.5m will be charged an extra £3 per night. A maximum length of vehicle accepted is 9 metres.

Onsite facilities

- Toilet and shower blocks on site and open, 2 blocks never closed at the same time.

- Pot wash and laundry facilities (washing machine, £5 coins and dryers £3 coins)

- Hairdryers in toilets (20p charge)

- Baby change incl. small baby bath in Female shower block – deposit required for key – this is then given back when key returned.

-Our disabled facility is for blue badge holders only, a deposit is required for the key and blue badges must be shown.

- Unfortunately, we do not have disabled spots and we are unable to reserve specific spots.

- We have 3 Elsan (Chemical) toilet points which can also be used for waste water.

- We have a drive-over grey waste water for Motorhomes that do not have detachable barrels.

Dog walking

We have an excellent field to walk your dogs in, the views from there are stunning.

Group bookings

Max of 3 vehicles / pitches booked together – we do not allocate pitches and therefore cannot guarantee that you will be pitched next to each other.

We require individual details per pitch with full name and Registration Number of vehicle per pitch. Also, ideally (if possible) contact number and postal address however, we can get this from each individual upon arrival.

All pitches would be required to come to reception to book in separately, pay final balance and sign our terms and conditions and collect their security tag.

Please note any groups not adhering to our Site Rules or Terms and Conditions (I.e., being loud and unruly) will be asked to leave and will be banned from visiting site in the future – we want to ensure enjoyment for all.

Buses

We are on the X93 bus route which takes you to Scarborough and Guisborough. / The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away from the site.

We are also 5 minutes walk away from the park and Ride that runs from Easter until end of October and is free to park – you can walk up to it and they charge per person. The bus goes directly into town centre / bus stop.

Walking

You can walk into town it takes between 20 – 30mins (depending on pace and ability). It is all downhill walking. We can give you a ‘shortcut’ that is a less steep gradient than the road way. We are 1 mile from the centre.

Taxis

Taxis usually cost between £6 - £10 – one way. Please ask reception for local taxi numbers.

Local amenities

Nearest pub – 5 minutes walk – The Stables Restaurant. 

Nearest restaurant - Sneaton Castle, The Garden Rooms -15 minute walk.

Shop – Spar Garage at four lane ends – 5 minutes walk.

Supermarkets

  1. Lidl – 15 / 20 minutes walk / less than 5 minute drive.
  2. Sainsburys – 45 minute walk / less than 10 minute drive (also next to Aldi, B & M and The Food Warehouse)
  3. Coop – centre of town – located next to train station

BBQs and Fires

Open fires and log burners are not permitted. 
BBQs must be raised off the floor to protect the grass. Disposable BBQs to be disposed of in the red waste receptacle by the top Caravan field. 

We do not provide WI-FI on the campsite, only in the cottages.

THE CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN, ANYONE SEEN DOING SO WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.

Please Note-Bookings are available to make online, but all bookings made between the 20th November-8th December 2024 will receive a delayed confirmation due to maternity. Confirmations will be sent after those dates. Thankyou for your patience.
